Our girls have been so good to entertain themselves while on the road. Thank God for card games, DVD players, and American Girl dolls! They haven't once asked, "Are we there yet?"
This is our new friends Ethan (right) and Estabon (left). They are stationed in the Air Force in Montana. They both want to be stationed in Hawaii. We met them while stopping off at a creek to have lunch. They were the only ones fishing at the creek when we stopped. It was mega cool to meet them because Ethan is from Rolla Missouri! I told them we have really great friends, Dr. Bill and Faye Hanshew at Worship and Word in Rolla. Ethan said, "Hey, I know that church!"
We drove through Billings Montana using Highway 3 and crossed the border. Our first night was spent at a Visitor's Center in Canmore Alberta Canada. Since leaving Hawaii, we've been through so many time zones, I had no idea what time it was or even what day it was!
For all RVers…this site offers free water for your Rv. The site is near the highway and the town of Canmore which is a gorgeous little ski/canoe/hike/bike.dog friendly resort town surrounded by snow capped mountains with the Bow River running through it. If it weren't for Hawaii, I could totally live here. Well that, and the temperature.
If you travel this way, plan to spend time in Canmore!
