The Master Chef

"I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20, NLT)

One of my BFFs is the furtherest thing from being a master chef...ever.
She and I happily share that commonality.

Mucho Mahalos Bitstrips!

She has no interest in being a cook, let alone a master chef. I can pray over her, declare to her, and proclaim to the world that she is a master chef. However, unless she gets into agreement with me about becoming a master chef, she will never become a master chef.

I have faith to move mountains; however, my faith and my words won’t necessarily yield a harvest in her life without her agreement.

That said, there are many things she and I come into agreement about and we decree those things and they are established. (Hosea 10:12)

Two are better than one! (Ecc. 4:9-12) My words coupled with her words (agreement) are absolutely unstoppable! God is always faithful! (1 Corinthians 1:9)

"I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for youFor where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20, NLT)

Never, ever quit! (Galatians 6:9)

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for every reader right now to gain a new level of tenacity in You! Help us Lord, see through Your eyes past the temporal into the eternal in the name of Jesus! Show us Your Heavenly perspective! We determine to have a spirit and attitude of I will never, ever quit! We determine to have a spirit and attitude of, "God said it in His Word! I believe everything He said! I never waver at His promises! He has a good plan for my life! I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! God loves me...unconditionally, no matter what!" Thank You Lord for your precious promises!

Well...Glory Be!

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31, NLT)

If you grew up hearing the phrase,

“Well glory be!”
(sounds like, Well...glawwwwwwy be!")

... you may be from Oklahoma.

In our homeschool, we are working on glorifying God in every thought, act, and deed
(1 Corinthians 10:31)

Today, I created a “Glory Tabs” reward system as a quick and easy reminder to maintain our focus on always glorifying God.

Be like Bo, it's cool to glorify God!
Lord God, I pray for every reader today. In the name of Jesus, please prompt us by your Holy Spirit to maintain a thought life that always glorifies you. Please bring a clearer understanding to each of us how critical our thought life is and for us to take every thought captive and insure the meditations of our hearts and the words of our mouth, always bring you glory!

2 Corinthians 10:5
Psalm 19:14

FREE! At No Charge to You!

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:8-9, NKJV)

On Saturday, July 12, 2014 I wrote a blogpost, “Remind me again…Why am I Doing all of This?” If you missed it, it is the blogpost right before this one. That blogpost has been on my heart every day since I wrote it. It reminds me of why Jesus did everything He did.

Just like the gentleman at our store who received the part at no charge to him, we receive the miraculous gift of salvation…at no charge to us. All we have to do is “show up” (say yes to Jesus!) If you have never said yes to Jesus, all you have to do is receive!

Father, I pray for every reader right now in the name of Jesus. For them to have eyes to see and ears to hear of the greatest gift of all, eternal life with You, Lord!

Pray this prayer out loud with us to receive Jesus!

Father, I believe everything Your Word says! I need You! In the name of Jesus, please come into my heart! I believe in my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Your Son! I believe He died for me and I believe You rose Him from the dead and He now sits at Your right hand!

If you prayed this prayer, we would love to hear from you! Please find a good bible based church and link up! (Hebrews 10:25) You can also get great teachings at www.faithman.org! Welcome to the family!

Remind me again...Why am I Doing all of This?

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:6, NLT)

When I have weeks like this past week, I really start to wonder….
”Why am I doing any of this?”

Weeks when I go to bed at midnight and get up at 5:00 a.m., work through meals, put out one “fire" after another, and wonder if I am coming, or am I going.
I question,
"Is anything I'm doing actually make a difference?"

I was sitting at my computer, having issues with files…as you can see from my earlier Instagram post.

And then, Mike called me from our Honolulu location.

He very excitedly said, “I just had to call and tell you something amazing that just happened!”

He said he had seen a man (who he had never seen before) pull into our store parking lot, get out of his car and the Lord said, “Give him the part, don’t charge him anything.”

Mike helped the gentleman, handed him the part, and said, “Have a great day, no charge, and be blessed!”

The man was overcome with excitement and prayed in the spirit! And then spoke blessings over us and our store!

Thanks for the help, LORD! And thanks for reminding me, this is why I do what I do.

Thank You LORD, for the opportunity and the ability to work for You to make a difference! (Colossians 3:23)

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:6, NLT)

Never failed.
Never abandoned.
Wow.

Location! Location! Location!

Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way:

“I’ll live in them, move into them;

I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people.

So leave the corruption and compromise;
leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you.
I want you all for myself.
I’ll be a Father to you;
you’ll be sons and daughters to me.”
The Word of the Master, God.

(2 Corinthians 6:14-18, MSG)

This morning, I overheard Mike and our ten year old daughter talking business. He was stressing to her the importance of location. He explained to her that all five of our stores are purposely strategically geographically located.

The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and told me to add, "Not only does location relate to geographics but also applies to goals and visions people have for their lives. Where people locate themselves in their lives."

In the book, Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive, (T.D. Jakes’ newest book) he states, “surround myself with talented, well-informed people in order to prepare for the future.”

In order for us to insure we are making forward progress and preparing for our future, we must determine to strategically locate ourselves...geographically as well as in our relationships. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) We cannot link up with those who will pollute us. There is no time for compromise. That is war. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

As we go through life, some of the people around us will rise to the level of the challenges we place before ourselves and we conquer together. Other people compromise (Themselves and us if we let them.) and will refuse to step up and do what is necessary to make the vision manifest. Insuring we prayerfully partnership with those who hold our same values, goals, dreams, and vision will propel us into His perfect plan and purposes for our lives. They propel us as we propel them.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for every reader right now that we all have eyes to see and ears to hear as you order our steps. Strengthen us to quickly recognize those who You have placed in our paths and those You have not place in our paths. Strengthen us to love all, but to only link up with and surround ourselves with the ones who propel us into Your perfect plan for our lives. We thank You for Lord, and we give You all the honor, glory, and praise, in the name of Jesus.

Ears to hear and eyes to see--both are gifts from the LORD. Proverbs 20:12

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
Psalm 37:23

"Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16)

But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Stop forming inappropriate relationships with unbelievers. Can right and wrong be partners? Can light have anything in common with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)
