Faithful

"The master said, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!' (Matthew 25:23, NLT)

Today, we received a good report from one of our Facebook followers. She gave us permission to post this because she is so excited about everything God is doing in her life! We are so excited she is including us! The information has to be posted anonymously because of it's nature.

Here are a few things she said to us:
  • God IS moving in my life!
  • He has done alll this for me!
  • Thank You for alll you have helped me to accomplish this last year!
  • I am so blessed!
  • Blessed way beyond, Glory to God!
Last year, she contacted us for prayer agreement for finances and wisdom for guidance. She was fighting extreme discouragement and needed help financially. She was alone, very ill, unable to work in her field, needed to move to a nicer area, needed a new car, and had spiraled deep into despair.

She began faithfully following Key Tov Blog and putting her faith to work (James 2:14-26). A few months ago, a friend of a friend asked her to do some work for him. The work was her heart's desire, caring for others, which just happens to be what she has been trained and is experienced in! She agreed but refused to be paid because of her deep loyalty to her friend. A few days after the work was complete, she was handed a check for a very sizable amount. The payee refused to take no for an answer because he was so grateful to her for a job so well done!

A few weeks later, she was given another job offer for the same pay in the same line of work that she's done all her adult life!

In less than a year, we have seen her:

  • Become faithful to His Word.
  • Put her faith to work.
  • Move to a nicer area.
  • Get a new car.
  • Return to her line of work which has always been her heart's desire.
  • And now she is thrilled to be planning a vacation to Hawaii next year!
She has been faithful in little and He keeps giving her more! As we see His work in her life, we all celebrate together!

Here is the really good report, He did it for her and He will do it for you! (Acts 10:34)

A Rant, Grrrr!

Facebook rants seem popular these days. The ones I find especially lacking are the ones directed toward people who do not have access to the ranting person's Facebook; for example, "Dear drivers on my way home." Huh? And "duck lips". I won't even go there. And political arguments...2 Chronicles 7:14. I'm not saying we should be ignorant in politics (or anything else) but there is only One who can heal this great nation and that is not Facebook.

I have much more to say about Facebook rants; however, God's Word says it better than I ever could so I will leave it to Him.

The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. (Psalms 24:1)

The earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord. (1 Corinthians 10:26) Personally, I believe that includes technology.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. (Proverbs 18:21)

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. (Colossians 3:17)

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Meditate Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8, NLT)

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NLT)

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Recalculating!

My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. (Proverbs 3:1, NLT)

My closest friends know I am completely convinced the Allstate Mayhem guy is my long lost brother. I watch his You Tube videos repeatedly and they never cease to make me roll with laughter. Me and my girls reenact his scenes. Many of our private family jokes are because of his antics.

If by some slight chance you don't know who the Allstate Mayhem guy is, you can meet him at this link!

When life gets a little mayhemish, I remind myself to recalculate by realigning myself with His Word! He offers the greatest protection of all!

RECALCULATING!

Let it Reign!

Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:17, NLT)

Jesus Culture has a great song entitled, "Let it Rain".

They sing about God opening up the floodgates of Heaven and raining down on His people. What rains down from Heaven? Whatever is good and perfect!

As much as I enjoy this song, I view the song a little differently. God has already provided.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3, NLT)

So, I suggest this. Instead of let it rain, let it reign

Let it reign!
Open the floodgates of Heaven, let it reign!
I feel the reign of your love!
I feel the reign of Your Spirit!
The heartbeat of Heaven is here!

Refuse to allow anything to stand in between you and everything good and perfect God has provided for you!

Let it reign!

How Do We Do That?

But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.  (James 1:22, NLT)

So many times when someone asks me for help, I give them scripture and they finish the scripture before I do.

Many know scripture; however,
many do not know how to apply scripture.

They say, “Genice, I know scripture. I can quote scripture all day long. But I’ve never been taught how to apply scripture to my everyday life.”

In order to learn how to apply God's Word on a practical level, we go to the basics, and build on a strong foundation.

Operating according Matthew 6:33, "Seek first His kingdom". When we seek Him first, which is dedicating every aspect of our lives to Him first, (relationships, finances, health, etc) so many issues resolve themselves. So many things just fall right into place

Seek Him first.

How do we do that?

Luke 10:27 gives us our command in very basic terms. We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.

To condense that, love our Lord with our all.

And we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Which brings the question, how do you love yourself?

What is your opinion of you?

Loving God and our neighbor as we've been commanded.
How do we do that?

We walk in the Spirit not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh.
How do we do that?

By renewing our minds daily
Some days daily is once a day.
Some days daily is all day long

He gave His Word TO us FOR us so,
wisdom says take full advantage of His life giving Word!

Then we take all the above and tie it together with prayer! (1 Thess 5:17)

  • Seek Him first
  • Love
  • Live in His Word
  • Pray

Key Tov, What's in a Name?

indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “ For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God. (2 Chronicles 5:13-14, NLT)

While living in Missouri, sitting under the teaching of Dr. Larry Ollison, he taught us many lessons on the Hebrew Language. One of which being, our language uses the alphabet and the Hebrew language uses the Aleph Bet. In order for us to easily say English words from the Hebrew language, we spell the words phonetically because there is not a letter to letter translation.

Dr. Ollison started many church services by all of us in unison shouting, "Halelujah! Key Tov! Key Le Alam Has Doe!" Translated, "Praise the Lord! He is good! His mercy endures forever!" And the glory of the Lord filled Walk on Water Faith Church!

We are often asked about Key Tov. We named our blog Key Tov as a constant reminder that He is good. (Psalm 136:1)
He is always good. (John 10:10)
He never changes. (Malachi 3:6)

On this, our one year anniversary, we are continually reminded of God's amazing goodness. This past year has been a phenomenal journey of introspection, growth, and encouragement, as I pour my heart out through this avenue God has blessed me with and quite literally placed in my path.

This past year, you have honored me by allowing me to pray with you, face battles with you, and walk out this good fight of faith together!

There have been times I’ve written with so much joy I could hardly contain it! There have been times I’ve wanted to quit, believing I was revealing too much of my heart. There have been times of attack and I’ve had to seek God’s face to fulfill the true heart of Key Tov blog which is to always bring glory to God.

Being an extremely private person, sharing the deepest part of my heart with you has been a huge struggle for me. But God directed me to do it. As I fought against some, I had to continue to do what God told me to do, and as a result the fruit continues to flourish. Thank you all for your emails of support and encouragement of how Key Tov blog has helped you!

Once you shed God’s life giving light, He empowers you to live life in excessive abundance! (John 10:10, AMP)

Key Tov!
