The Master Chef

"I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20, NLT)

One of my BFFs is the furtherest thing from being a master chef...ever.
She and I happily share that commonality.

Mucho Mahalos Bitstrips!

She has no interest in being a cook, let alone a master chef. I can pray over her, declare to her, and proclaim to the world that she is a master chef. However, unless she gets into agreement with me about becoming a master chef, she will never become a master chef.

I have faith to move mountains; however, my faith and my words won’t necessarily yield a harvest in her life without her agreement.

That said, there are many things she and I come into agreement about and we decree those things and they are established. (Hosea 10:12)

Two are better than one! (Ecc. 4:9-12) My words coupled with her words (agreement) are absolutely unstoppable! God is always faithful! (1 Corinthians 1:9)

"I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for youFor where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20, NLT)

Never, ever quit! (Galatians 6:9)

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for every reader right now to gain a new level of tenacity in You! Help us Lord, see through Your eyes past the temporal into the eternal in the name of Jesus! Show us Your Heavenly perspective! We determine to have a spirit and attitude of I will never, ever quit! We determine to have a spirit and attitude of, "God said it in His Word! I believe everything He said! I never waver at His promises! He has a good plan for my life! I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! God loves me...unconditionally, no matter what!" Thank You Lord for your precious promises!

Life Changing!

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38, NKJV)

Tuesday, I was given the amazing opportunity to volunteer at SpiritFM during their annual fundraiser, Days of Glory.

I started listening to SpiritFM in 2005 when my family initially moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. We had moved to a new town and I had not had time to make new friends. I was home alone all day with an infant and a toddler.

We attended Walk on Water Faith Church and someone mentioned the Christian Radio Station, SpiritFM who advertises they are “Life Changing Radio”. I tuned in and immediately found that to be true.

The transition from Hawaii to Missouri was a very difficult one for me. Some days, without family and friends near, the days at home with two little ones could be very long. Some days, there was a lot of crying going on…some days, that crying was mine!

I was at a turning point in my life. I had just truly began to understand relationship over religion and I had many questions regarding faith. I started playing SpiritFM 24/7. It was this radio station and their staff who helped feed me spiritually during that transition. God mightily used SpiritFM to change my life. During the day and oftentimes during the night while awake with one or both of my little ones, a phrase from a song, or a teaching, or something a SpiritFM DJ would say strongly impacted me. The staff and volunteers at SpiritFM became my friends and family, a source of support and encouragement.

As my children, grew an amazing thing happened. They quoted what they heard on SpiritFM! They repeated the songs and pretended to be SpiritFM disk jockeys!

Once I saw the impact of this radio station on me, my husband and my little girls, we started playing SpiritFM on our boat dock through outside speakers so we could plant good seeds in boaters! Everyone who drove their boat past our house heard SpiritFM, day and night!

We also started playing SpiritFM at our business locations and witnessed amazing changes. One employee in particular, was going through a very difficult time. He had been on antidepressants for years. After listening to SpiritFM for 8-10 hours per day, he started saying things like, “I am blessed and God bless you!” Soon thereafter, he was taken off the antidepressants! He often told me how having a workplace playing SpiritFM for their customers and employees really blessed and changed his life!

After witnessing the positive impact of SpiritFM on my family and those around me, Mike and I decided it was time for us to give back. We made a pledge to financially support SpiritFM. Our initial pledge was $15.00 per month, which at the time, we thought would be a challenge because we had moved a family of four from Hawaii, started a new business and had just built a new house. But, you know what? God was always faithful to provide the amount of the pledge and even more. SpiritFM is a ministry we believe in because we see the fruit in our lives as well as the lives of everyone who listens.

SpiritFM sows into our lives in a powerful way. In return, we sow into SpiritFM who is not just a Christian radio station but also available for teachings, prayer and encouragement. It’s a true partnership!

Even though we have moved away from the Lake area, we continue to listen to and support SpiritFM via their website at www.spiritfm.org.

Please do me a huge favor. Listen to SpiritFM at their website and consider making a pledge to support them. I believe as you give, it will be given unto you good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom!

Tsunami Evacuation!

In 2010, after living in Hawaii for over a decade, we experienced our first tsunami evacuation. Below are the top 10 things I learned.

10.  Always keep my toothbrush and a bra handy!

9. Always thank God for technology and for living in the great, blessed United States of America where people we don't even know put their lives on the line every single day to protect us!

8. An "emergency kit" (water, flash lights, batteries, can goods radio, etc)...really is a good thing to have on hand...packed, ready and close to the door!

7. Actually know where the evac route is and how to get to it!

6. Actually know what sound the emergency sirens make so I don't have to repeatedly ask Mike, "what is that terrible sound??!"

5.  How great Mike and I work together as a team...we woke up in the middle of the night to sirens, dressed (partially!) grabbed kids and were driving (what we believed to be) the evac route in less than 5 minutes! Mike took charge and I'm a great worker bee! I didn't know where he was going but we were all together so I was in!

4. ALWAYS have your prayer warriors watch'n your back! While I was snoozing away, my friends and family were burning up my Facebook and text, praying!

3.  We were all together, safe and  God was working things out for our good!

2. My family and friends is what I love and appreciate most in this world and they all moved up in my list of priorities!

1. Last and most importantly, as I stood in my home w/ emergency sirens blaring and police driving the streets of our neighborhood announcing over a loud speaker, "we advise you to evacuate"...I realized, the most important thing to remember is He who abides in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty! Thank God for ALL His promises! They are numerous and He is always faithful!

Faithful

"The master said, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!' (Matthew 25:23, NLT)

Today, we received a good report from one of our Facebook followers. She gave us permission to post this because she is so excited about everything God is doing in her life! We are so excited she is including us! The information has to be posted anonymously because of it's nature.

Here are a few things she said to us:
  • God IS moving in my life!
  • He has done alll this for me!
  • Thank You for alll you have helped me to accomplish this last year!
  • I am so blessed!
  • Blessed way beyond, Glory to God!
Last year, she contacted us for prayer agreement for finances and wisdom for guidance. She was fighting extreme discouragement and needed help financially. She was alone, very ill, unable to work in her field, needed to move to a nicer area, needed a new car, and had spiraled deep into despair.

She began faithfully following Key Tov Blog and putting her faith to work (James 2:14-26). A few months ago, a friend of a friend asked her to do some work for him. The work was her heart's desire, caring for others, which just happens to be what she has been trained and is experienced in! She agreed but refused to be paid because of her deep loyalty to her friend. A few days after the work was complete, she was handed a check for a very sizable amount. The payee refused to take no for an answer because he was so grateful to her for a job so well done!

A few weeks later, she was given another job offer for the same pay in the same line of work that she's done all her adult life!

In less than a year, we have seen her:

  • Become faithful to His Word.
  • Put her faith to work.
  • Move to a nicer area.
  • Get a new car.
  • Return to her line of work which has always been her heart's desire.
  • And now she is thrilled to be planning a vacation to Hawaii next year!
She has been faithful in little and He keeps giving her more! As we see His work in her life, we all celebrate together!

Here is the really good report, He did it for her and He will do it for you! (Acts 10:34)
