Free Upgrade

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. (Psalm 37:23, NLT)

I believe everything good, no matter how great or how small, all good things come by no accident or by luck, but directly from God. (James 1:17)

As many of you know, we are currently traveling. Due to a family situation, we had to buy airline tickets at last minute. As a result, we weren't able to assign our seats where we could sit together. Our seats were strung out from the front of the plane to the back of it. We were told we would have to pay extra in order to sit together.

We checked our bags and asked for seats together but the agent wasn't able to assign seats. She told us if we want to sit together we would have to speak with the gate agent. We didn't want to wait because the closer to flight time generally means fewer arrangements can be made and or changed.

Thankfully, the gate agent was able to seat us together.

When we boarded the plane, I was blessed to see, we had been given a free upgrade to business class on a very new, very comfortable plane.

This may not seem like much of a big deal to some but for me, given our current circumstance, it was just God's way of confirming...I am in every. single. little. detail.

Father, You are a good God and only good things come from You. Thank You for our free upgrade but most of all, thank You for
confirming what was spoken over us in that we would experience many, many great and mighty things both in the seemingly small as well as the overwhelmingly big matters we are walking out this week. Thank You for being my unfailing perfect Father. I love You LORD.

The Lines on My Face

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength. (Proverbs 17:22, NLT)

I have a friend who is in his mid sixties. He is very comical and always makes me laugh. Somehow, he can even make me laugh at a stump. When I'm with him, if I'm not laughing at what he says or his antics, I'm laughing at his infectious laughter.

One day while we were visiting, I noticed the many lines on his face. He has laugh lines from low on his cheeks near his chin all the way up to his temples! I thought, every one of those lines on his face are a result of decades of laughing! No wonder he has always been so healthy!

I don't remember anything that was said the day the lines on his face made such an impact on me but I do remember thinking, when I get lines on my face, I hope they are all laugh lines.

What will the lines on your face reveal?

Let it Reign!

Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:17, NLT)

Jesus Culture has a great song entitled, "Let it Rain".

They sing about God opening up the floodgates of Heaven and raining down on His people. What rains down from Heaven? Whatever is good and perfect!

As much as I enjoy this song, I view the song a little differently. God has already provided.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3, NLT)

So, I suggest this. Instead of let it rain, let it reign

Let it reign!
Open the floodgates of Heaven, let it reign!
I feel the reign of your love!
I feel the reign of Your Spirit!
The heartbeat of Heaven is here!

Refuse to allow anything to stand in between you and everything good and perfect God has provided for you!

Let it reign!
